When to use: 

  • When a child is struggling to maintain focus and attention or sit still during table top activities. 
  • Provides movement and input during seated activity when a child does not have the strength or core to sustain a sit disc vs. legs are needing the movement vs. upper body.

 

How to use: 

  • If a child is struggling to stay in their seat during table top activities this provides the opportunity to move the legs and give input while promoting sitting.
  • Some children require movement for focus depending on their sensory profile. 
  • It may also provide increased length for children struggling to reach the ground.

 

Caregivers

 

When to use: 

  • When a child is struggling to maintain focus and attention or sit still during meals or craft activities at the table. 
  • Provides movement and input during seated activity when a child does not have the strength or core to sustain a sit disc vs. legs needing the movement vs. upper body.

 

How to use: 

  • If your child is struggling to sit at the table during mealtimes, this may be an appropriate option, especially if they are moving or kicking their legs.
  • Some children require movement for focus depending on their sensory profile.
