Lead Infant Teachers
Infant 1 Lead Teacher
“Hello! My name is Ashlie and I am the lead teacher in Infant 1. I was born and raised right outside of Mankato in a little town called Rapidan. After I graduated highschool in 2014, I earned my Child Development Associates and I have been a lead teacher at a childcare center since obtaining my degree. I have been working around and with children for about 14 years. I recently got married in October of 2018 and have a little boy of my own who was born in June 2019. I have always worked with the infant and toddler age and look forward to getting to know many more children and families at Cultivate.
If there was one quote that would sum up my teaching philosophy it would be;
‘As your teacher, I promise to always be in one of three places…
One: In front of you to cheer you on.
Two: Behind you to have your back.
Three: Next to you so you aren’t walking alone.’
I want all of the children at Cultivate to know that they are loved and supported in everything they do. I will always be a listening ear and someone they can count on. Relationships have always been a big part in my teaching philosophy with children and families. I believe that children will succeed in their life if they have healthy relationships to help them grow. I am very excited to get to know all the families and grow those relationships!”
Infant 2 Lead Teacher
“My name is Beth Ann Davis and I will be the lead teacher for Infant 2. I wanted to share a little about me. I am a life-long resident of Mankato. I am married with 4 children, who are all boys! Their ages are 11, 9, 7 and 3. We live just outside of Mankato and have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 7 chickens. I am a graduate of MNSU, Mankato with a degree in Recreation Parks and Leisure Services. In that program I learned how important play was for every aspect of life. Being a teacher helps me to foster play in children and families. My favorite things to do in my spare time include playing with my children, learning new hobbies, crafting and reading.
I believe the classroom is a living community, and that everyone has a role in shaping young minds. Every child has a right to feel love and inclusion in everything that they do. As a teacher I will work to create a safe, positive, welcoming environment for children and families. Using play as a way of learning for children, I will utilize structured and unstructured play to encourage children to learn and grow at their own pace. By using daily communication and periodic conferences, I will keep families updated on the learning that is taking place in our room. The parents of students will be encouraged to participate as much as possible. We want all families to feel heard and will use an open door policy to reinforce this.
As a teacher at Cultivate Mankato, I will strive to learn who your child is on an individual basis, and help you to advocate for your child. I am excited to learn and grow with all of the amazing children who I will have the pleasure of working with.”
Infant 3 Lead Teacher
“Hi! My name is Britni and I’m a teacher in one of the infant rooms at Cultivate Mankato. I live in Mankato with my husband and 3 kiddos. You can usually find me having a dance party with my kids or in the kitchen baking cakes for my baking business.
I am so excited to start this journey at Cultivate! Working with children has always been a passion of mine. There is something so special about being apart of a child’s life and helping them grow and develop.
As a childcare provider my overall goal is to focus on each individual child’s needs and potential. I strive to create a trusting and safe atmosphere for children to explore, question, practice, play and become the best version of themselves. I think that it is extremely important to build relationships with not only the children but with their families as well. Our classroom will always have an open door policy with a listening ear and helping hand inside! I am excited to start making and strengthening relationships with the kiddos and families that I am lucky enough meet!”

Infant 5 Lead Teacher
Hello my name Lindsey and I am the lead teacher in Infant 5. I was raised in Madison Lake, where I still currently live. I attended Minnesota State University-Mankato for a community health degree. I will be graduating from MSU in spring of 2020 with my Bachelors of Science. I plan on going back to school for a RN degree and hope to land myself in a children’s specialty hospital or clinic.
I have a 2 year old Mini Australian Shepard named Maverick who I enjoy spending all my free time with. In the spring months I spend my afternoons coaching the High School girls lacrosse team for Mankato. With any free time I have left I enjoy being outside, biking, camping, traveling, and being with my family and friends.
I was excited when I was hired at Cultivate Mankato. The values at Cultivate are the same values I live by. Those values are Love, Authenticity, Relationships, and Community. Children have always been a strong passion of mine since I can remember. I once told my parents I was going to have 52 kids, that was until I grew up and realized that is not going to happen. I was born with a passion to teach others and assist in the development of children. As a teacher for Cultivate I understand the importance of providing hands-on learning, positive reinforcement, social interaction and creativity of their imaginations. I want to be able to provide a happy, nurturing environment each child needs.
