Preschool Lead Teachers
Preschool 3 Lead Teacher
Hello, my name is Gabby! I am from Elk River, Minnesota. I’m the Preschool 3 lead teacher here at Cultivate Mankato. I recently graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a bachelor’s degree in child development and family studies and a minor in psychology. Some things I like to do in my free time are shop at TJ Maxx and go on hikes with my dog. I love being outside (when it’s not freezing cold). I love to learn about children and how their little creative minds work! My favorite thing to do in the classroom is play, help solve problems, and do crafts! Teaching kids about their feelings and how to solve a problem are important things to me that I like to show children during play. Spending everyday with tiny humans is such a rewarding job to me. I cannot wait to make some amazing connections with the children and the families that I meet through Cultivate!
Preschool 2 Lead Teacher
Hi, my name is Abbie. I am a lead teacher in the preschool program here at Cultivate Mankato. I recently graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in Spanish. I’m from Cottage Grove, Minnesota and I have one younger sister who currently attends the U of M. I love the arts, and my favorite thing to do in my free time is paint. My future goals are: to work with kids in a clinical psychological setting, to be fluent in Spanish, to be a successful painter, and to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. As a teacher, representation is important in my classroom. We are a diverse community, and I strive to provide the opportunity for children to see themselves in their toys, their art, and their books. I believe childcare is all about relationships, with both the kids and their families. I love getting to know families and talking with them at the end of the day, and I look forward to building those relationships with all of you!
Preschool 1 Lead Teacher
Hello! I’m Alexis Osland. I am from Lamberton, MN. I recently graduated from Minnesota State University with a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer science with an emphasis on child development and family studies and a minor in social welfare. When I’m not at work, you can probably find me spending time with my family and friends. My favorite thing to see in the classroom is children playing. I am passionate about play, and I see the importance of letting a child learn and grow through it. I love watching the children learn and discover new things each and every day. It is fun to hear about new things the children are thinking about, which helps me gain an idea of what themes or topics we should explore and learn about through projects and activities! I look forward to building relationships with each child that comes to Cultivate Mankato.
