Toddler Lead Teachers
Toddler 2 Lead Teacher
"Hello, my name is Kendra, and I am a teacher in the toddler program. I am very excited to get the opportunity to meet all of the families and help the children at Cultivate Mankato explore new things. I have lived in Mankato my whole life. I went to Franklin Elementary school, Mankato East, and South Central College. I am now attending Minnesota State University to get a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Studies. I have two fish, and I love adventure. A few of my favorite things to do with children in the classroom are playing and introducing new sensory objects, playing with different costumes, and making arts and crafts.
I cherish working with toddlers because they are starting to find out who they are. Being a part of that experience is always mind opening. Having a sense of community within the classroom always helps the child learn new things about who they are. I am excited to get to know each child has they start their journey at Cultivate Mankato."
Toddler 3 Lead Teacher
Hello! My name is Abbey Weilage and I am the lead teacher in toddler 3. I’ve had many years of experience in child care through babysitting, nannying, and working at a child care center. I attended MSU pursuing a degree in Child Development and Family Studies. Some things I enjoy doing in my free time are painting and drawing, running, and spending time with my family. I’m originally from rural Morton, MN and moved to Mankato in 2014. I love learning about different ways to teach children and help them grow. My goal has been to lead a class that is accepting of everyone and full of love. My favorite thing is to find the most engaging
hands on activities that children are truly excited about. I hope for their time at school to be fun, full of learning, and something they can't wait to talk about at home. I’m very thankful to work for a company with such amazing values that I can share with your children!
